HOMEWORK 

We have had an extraordinary number of absences, both last week on Friday, and again on Tuesday
Due to this, and the fact that Monday was a pupil free day, please note that we will not be setting regular homework this week.
Please do spelling, take it easy in the evening with some reading,  check your DriveTime document and make sure all work due is up to date. Finally, have a good rest to avoid and recover from illness. ***NB Studyladder for some...

Have a try at all the tasks.

Studyladder only allows us to do 3 tasks per night. For instance you can do 2 data tasks (once) and

the times tables task as many times as you want.

It can be no bigger than 2/5 of their land grant (Each block is 20m x 50m)
A standard house has

•  2 living areas (or 1 large room) for dining and lounge
• 1 kitchen
• 3 bedrooms
• 3 wet areas (1 toilet, 1 bathroom & 1 laundry)

Refer to the 'House Calculations 2017' Googlesheet that is in your Maths folder to begin calculationg how much your house will cost and how much money you will need to borrow..

READING

JAPANESE

5 minutes of Japanese writing each day. (3 days for level 2)
We have begun learning how to write hiragana characters. This week the focus is on SA and TA. You may take your Japanese exercise book (10mm graph book) home to practise your characters BUT you must bring it back each day. Alternatively just use scrap paper and keep your exercise book at school to use in DriveTime and Japanese lessons. Remember to look carefully at the stroke order before attempting to write out the character without looking.

There will be a writing test on Wednesday on A and KA set.
Confident level 2 students must choose 5 words to learn from the Googlesheet dictionary I shared with you. You will test each other.

Katakana reading test for level 2 students on various sets.
Spend 5 minutes on three nights, or/and during Drive Time to revise them.
There will be a test on Thursday for katakana.

Book Week - Room 8

Book week assembly in Week 5 is fast approaching. We are doing Escape to the farm. Some children have an animal costume or ears but for the rest, we will be making their masks at school. We have asked the children to wear all black if they can but if not, wear dark blue or grey or a colour that relates to the animal they are going to be. Ie White for a sheep, horse even cat, pink for a pig, brown for a horse, dog .... etc etc. Ask your child what they are going to be. If they can't remember, msg me. Can't wait. 

(If anyone has a pair of overalls that would fit Me (Steve Whitehead) I would love to borrow them for Friday Assembly, we also would love to borrow a rocking chair for the performance.)

Roughly a standard room is $1000 per square meter
