REMINDER
WRITER'S FESTIVAL is Week 4, starting with our visiting authors Deborah Abela and Dan McGuiness on Monday August 13th. We have started reading 'Grimsdon' by Deborah Abela for our class novel.
Please pay for this incursion as soon as possible if you have not done so already. We consider this incursion to be very worthwhile, and extremely good value for money.
Table points (200/100) and class points (20 per student) if all payments made.
READING
Read and answer the Civics PDFs in their Google Drive: (Monday to Thursday)
For Week 2 the documents are:
1) Read PDF 'Australian Democracy' pages 1-11.
2) Read 'A Good Representative' + and complete activity on A4 paper. Make a 'Job Advertisement' poster.
What kind of skills would a federal representative need?
Use the document created on Monday to answer the questions, unless told otherwise.
We will check and mark all questions on Friday.
SPELLING
Complete your look, say, cover, write, check in their LSCWC small notebook.
The 4 boxes in their LSCWC book need to be completed by Thursday.
It is best that they complete a LSCWC on separate nights. Some kids have shown great improvement with a practice test also given by their parents on one night. Please get them to slip/staple any extra practice evidence into their book, to show us.(LSD)
MATHS
See Maths tasks at the end of the Drive Time document. There are three. We will look at the first one on Tueday morning. The rest by Friday.
JAPANESE
Continue to work on your own slides presentation that displays all the characters we have learned so far. Spend a few minutes each night reviewing the characters. There will be a test on Friday week 10 (NE, TE, DE, MU, I). There will also be a test on these words: ii, tenki, desu, ne, migi, hidari, mae, ushiro.
