Week 6, Term 3

STUDYLADDER
No Study Ladder this week as a lot of time is required for Book Week and our house design project.                          
LSCWC 
Students are expected to complete three LSCWC (Look, Say, Cover, Write, Check) by Tuesday morning.                                                           (LSD)

READING
Read for ten minutes every night or twenty minutes three times in a week.

Book Week (in Week 6)
Both classes will be presenting an item and may need a costume or prop.

Room 8 students: Key-role students may have a costume of their animal but otherwise can all students please have black pants, black top, and everything black! if possible. We will be creating masks in buddy class.

Room 7: All students will be wearing/presenting items appropriate for an 'Around Australia Car Holiday' or similar holiday such as camping at the beach etc. We have discussed this in class. Examples - book, soft toy, board game, beach wear, goggles, snorkel, beach towel, sun hat, map, water bottle, eskii, etc

MATH/TECHNOLOGY
Floor Planner Part 2 - Designing Your Own Home
Each student should have created a 2D/3D replica of the house they live in and made a screencastify of it for Week 4 homework. This must be completed before starting this week's homework as you can only have one house design on the floor planner. Do not delete your family's house design until you have done your screencastify.

This week you may continue designing your own house, showing room size, doors etc. but do not furnish your house. Keep in mind that there will be a price to pay for every square metre of house,
During maths lessons in Week 6 we will be doing various calculations relating to your house, using your floor planner designs.

Students must research the local area average costs for land and houses. They will be presenting this figure and working out the average square meter costs.
