VERY IMPORTANT

MUSEUM VISIT TOMORROW, TUESDAY APRIL 11TH
We are really looking forward to the visit tomorrow. 

Please make sure you bring your recess and lunch in a disposable plastic carry bag. No lunch boxes, thanks.
Also bring a hat as we will be outside at the Botanic Gardens after lunch.
HAT + RECESS AND LUNCH IN A PLASTIC DISPOSABLE BAG.

Some students have been asked to bring their Chromebooks. We probably won't have to take these, but if we do we will take responsibility for their care.

HOMEWORK

MATHS

TIMES TABLES 

5 minutes each day.
Listen to some times tables songs. (Be aware, these are on YouTube)

All times tables (2 - 12). Students have so far demonstrated/recorded how they learned or practiced for homework. They presented these to the class. Some students found a video with a song or rap about a specific times table. Great! Hope they sang along with it at home. They may be asked to sing along with it in the class. It would be great if some students made their own song.

Some suggestions for a presentation include:

• A rhyme
• Written on paper
• A video
• A song
• A pattern
• Xylophone
• Slot cards

SPELLING

Complete your look, say, cover, write, check in your LSCWC small notebook.

READING

Read for ten minutes every night or twenty minutes three times in a week.

Write a journal entry for three of the times you have read at home. Please try to write a short description of the session's reading but ensure it is not just an airy fairy throw away line.

You may want to include details like: 

• Character developments 
• Describing the setting
• Plot changes
• Predictions of future events
• Why you liked/disliked a particular part of the book

We will be asking students to share their journals throughout the week.
