Camp on Monday

We seem to be ready and the kids are excited.
Please be out the front of library (We will be there) by 8:30 at the latest on Monday morning.
Any medications will be directed to Mandy inside the Library.
List available on the camp blog to help with packing.
Please don't forget to bring a furry friend and a sun hat.

Welcome Back 2018!

Welcome to Room 7/8's Blog


This is where you will find the information we would like to share with you about our class, for example,
our Term Overview, information about the fast approaching Arbury Park Camp, Photos, Class Books
that we have read, and of course Homework.

We will not be starting our full homework program until after spelling tests are completed (Should be
Week 4 - Due to camp also).
However, we would like students to begin reading:

READING
Read for ten minutes every night or twenty minutes three times in a week.
We will be asking students about what they have read.

Reminder to those attending the Chromebook sessions on Tuesday Night in Week 2 at 6:00pm and 9:00
am on Wednesday Morning (Week 2 also) in the Resource Centre.
Chromebooks will be arriving this Wednesday if agreements are signed.

Acquaintance Night is on Tuesday 6th February 7:15pm(straight after the Chromebook Meeting),
looking forward to seeing you all then.

Camp information will be given out within the next week, as soon as arrangement have been finalised.

We are both looking forward to a year of successful learning with your child.

Week 8, Term 4

IMPORTANT:

Reminder about our end of year activities: PLEASE READ THE NOTE SENT HOME WITH THE CONSENT FORM
WATER WORLD. Thursday 7/12/17. Bring recess, lunch, drink bottle, towel, hat, and sunscreen. Appropriate swimwear and top (rashie) need to be worn in the pool. and Inflatable World. There are still a few outstanding. Please get them in as soon as possible. Maximum $10 spending money. Leave 9:45, return 3:00.
XTREME INFLATABLES. Monday 11/12/17 (Week 9). Full school uniform required. Hat, recess, and drink bottle. NO spending money. Leave 9:00, return 12:45.

CHRISTMAS STALL Tomorrow 5/12/17. Gifts available for purchase, varying from $1 to $12.. Students will have an opportunity to purchase from the stall during class time. Refe to note sent home last week.
SCHOOL DISCO Wednesday 13/12/17 6:30-9:00pm. Entry $5 paid via Qkr. See note sent home today.

IMPORTANT:

Please remember to pay for the 'Come N Try' event in week 1, if you haven't done so already. There are still a few outstanding accounts. 

REMINDER:

Don't forget to hang any wet bathers and towels out, ready for the next day of swimming!
Chromebooks still need to be charged and brought to school, ready for use after recess.

Week 1, Term 4

Welcome Back!

IMPORTANT:

Fortunately, due to unforseen circumstances, YEAR 6 STUDENTS, as well as year 5 students, are now able to attend the SAPSASA 'Come N Try' day this Thursday,19th October. We apologise for the very short notice, but it is a fun, healthy, and educational opportunity that should not be missed! This means that 
CONSENT FORMS FOR YEAR 6 (& 5) need to be signed and returned by Wednesday morning.
Money ($10) should also be paid as soon as possible and preferably by Thursday morning, but we understand if you can't pay until week 2.
We advise that students bring their own recess and lunch. A drink bottle is absolutely essential. A canteen is available and students may bring spending money.

REMINDER:

SWIMMING FOR YEAR 5 students - beginning Monday 30th October. A reminder for swimming consent forms and payment by Wednesday 25th October.
