Reminder that Year 5 students will be doing their NAPLAN tests this week. Due to this our regular daily timetable and homework will be different. Also the use of Chromebooks by students who are not being tested will not be possible.
This week's focus are the 3 & 7 times tables. Be creative. Be able to show/demonstrate and explain to us how you practised.
e.g. Can you say them aloud, first using odd ( 1x7, 3x7...) then even (2x7, 4x7...). Or saying them backwards.
SPELLING
Complete your look, say, cover, write, check in their LSCWC small notebook.
The 4 boxes in their LSCWC book need to be completed by Thursday.
It is best that they complete a LSCWC on separate nights. Some kids have shown great improvement with a practice test also given by their parents on one night. Please get them to slip/staple any extra practice evidence into their book, to show us.(LSD)
READING
Each day, read one required comprehension sheet and answer all questions. We will be discussing the text the following day to look at how to improve reading and comprehension skills.
